ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION INTO VARIOUS COURSES

POST GRADUATE COURSES :

  1. The Candidates seeking admission into PG Courses must pass the Entrance Examination conducted by Osmania University in the concerned subject.
  2. Other rules of admission and reservation laid down by Osmania University will strictly be followed.

DEGREE COURSES :

  1. Candidates must have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination.
  2. Candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. must obtain a minimum of 40 marks in aggregate in the two optional subjects at the qualifying examination (35% in the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Candidates)
  3. 60% of the B.Com. seats are reserved for candidate who have passed the qualifying exams, with commerce as one of the subjects and the balance 40% will be filled in order of merit from all other combinations including commerce.
  4. 50% of B.A. Seats reserved for the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination with Humanities and the remaining 50% seats will be filled up by candidates who have passed other faculty subjects.

CERTIFICATE TO BE ENCLOSED WITH APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

  1. A Certified copy of Memorandum of Marks of the qualifying examination. (The Original Certificate will be returned after verification at the time of admission)
  2. A Certified copy of Transfer Certificate (TC) from the College where the candidate last studied and produce the original certificate at the time of admission. Once a candidate is admitted into the college, the original TC of Intermediate will not be returned to him / her.
  3. Migration Certificate in case of students coming from a University other than Osmania University.
  4. Caste and latest Income Certificate in the prescribed proforma in case of students belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes.
NOTE : (CURRENT YEAR INCOME OF THE PARENT ONLY). The Certificates will not be accepted after the submission of the forms. THE SAID CERTIFICATES WILL NOT BE GIVEN BACK TO THE STUDENTS TILL THE STUDIES ARE COMPLETED IN THE COLLEGE. STUDENTS ARE ADVISED TO KEEP SUFFICIENT XEROX COPIES FOR THEIR USE.

RULES OF RESERVATION

  1. 15%, 6% and 25% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes respectively. Caste Certificate is signed by competent authorities of the Revenue Department invariably not below the Rank of a Tahasildar.
  2. 3%, 4% and 1% of the seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped and for candidates with some merit in Games and Sports, NCC, ACC and extra curricular activities respectively subject to production of relevant certificate from the concerned Competent Authorities.
  3. 1% of the seats are reserved for the children of Ex-Service men and Defence personnel residing in the state.
  4. GENERAL
  5. The college reserves the right to cancel the admission of candidate at any stage if and when detected that the admission is against rules.
  6. A separate application form should be submitted for each group and for each medium. One application form for admission will be considered only for one group and one medium. No transfer will be allowed from one group / medium to other after the admission is finalized.
  7. Incomplete forms with incomplete bio-data will be rejected.
  8. Admissions to all classes will be made strictly as per merit and as per rules of admission and reservations.
  9. No donations are accepted for admission in this College.
  10. Candidates are advised to preserve the counterfoil of the Challan. If a student succeeds in getting admission he/she has must produce it at the time of admission within 2 days if required.
  11. List of Candidates selected for admission to various courses will be displayed on the Notice Board of the College. No intimation is sent individually. Candidates must ensure to check from the college office about the likely dates of display of lists. If a Candidate whose name appears in the list fails to pay the fee within the prescribed period and time, it will be presumed that he/she has no interest to seek admission and he/she will not be considered in the subsequent list for readmission.
  12. The students are required to submit an undertaking from their parents at the time of admission.

RULES OF ATTENDANCE

  1. Students are required to attend at least 75% of the lectures in each subject.
  2. The examinations forms of candidate who have put in at least 65% of the attendance before the date of sending the examination forms, will be forwarded to the University.
  3. If a candidate fails to secure 65% attendance, the College has the authority to with hold his/her examination form from sending to the University.
  4. Attendance will be calculated from the date of commencement of classes and not the date of admission
  5. No student will be allowed to absent himself/herself from the College without leave, for which an application must be submitted on the first day of return to the College. Application for leave on the ground of ill-health during College examinations (internals) must be accompanied by a Medical Certificate.
  6. If any student is continuously absent for a period of more than one month he/she should come with his/her parents to seek permission for attending classes there after.
  7. If any student discontinues his/her studies without informing the Principal, he/she will be liable to pay complete year’s fees.
  8. First year students have to pay their fees in full amount at the time of admission.
  9. Fee for the second and third year of UG courses have to be paid in the month of June soon after reopening of the college after summer vacation.
  10. Fee for the Final year of MBA, M.Com and M.Sc. have to be paid in the first month of the third semester.
  11. Fee concession, part payment will not be considered.
  12. Examination fee can be paid only after college fee is paid in June every year

SCHOLARSHIP

The College follows the Biometric system for disbursement of scholarships. All eligible students of SC, ST, BC are entitled for scholarship provided by the Government as per rules. The amount sanctioned will be given though individual Account Payee Cheque. The Scholarship holder is advised to open an account in any nationalised Bank. However, students seeking admission in to Self - Finance courses have to pay the fee invariably at the time of admission. They are eligible to apply for scholarships as per Government norms.

Students have to put in 75% attendance in all subjects every year in order to obtain scholarships.

The special fee dues will be adjusted from the scholarships sanctioned and the balance will be paid to the students.

Students of other Boards / Universities have to pay a migration fee of Rs. 20/- in addition to the above fee.

For SC/ST/BC Students, the Caste Certificate in original has to be submitted at the time of admission.

  1. Original TC + 3 Xerox copies
  2. Original Caste Certificate issued by MRO + 3 Xerox copies
  3. Original Income Certificate issued by MRO+3 Xerox copies
  4. Original SSC & Inter Memos + 3 Xerox copies
  5. Two self addressed post cards.

GOLD MEDALS

The College has instituted 9 Gold Medals (Pure Gold) to be awarded every year for the toppers at the University Examination in various subjects / Courses. The Gold Medals are instituted by the Management of Sardar Patel College, Secunderabad.

ATTENTION TO PARENTS

  1. The parents have to be present with their wards while seeking admission.
  2. The faculty members will be very happy to meet the parents on any working day after 3.00 p.m. They will be glad to receive parents suggestions or to discuss problems pertaining to the performance of their wards. They can meet the Principal between 3.00 to 4.00 p.m.
  3. Mere inclusion of the name in Provisional list does not confer any right on the student for admission to 1st year degree courses.

ATTENTION TO STUDENTS

  1. College timings for the academic year 2015-16 is 10.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m. with a lunch break of ½ an Hour 12.30 to 1.00 p.m.
  2. Ragging or any misbehaviour with in the campus is strictly prohibited and will be viewed seriously. In such cases, the college reserves right to rusticate the students involved.
